PV façade at Copenhagen International School

The PV façade at Copenhagen International School is the latest project of the SCCER FEEB&D partners EPFL-LESO and SwissINSO / Emirates Insolaire.

The façade mainly consists of over 12,000 green-blue photovoltaic modules, which have been equipped with colored solar glass KROMATIX (more than 6,000 m2) – currently one of the largest solar façades in the world.

A great advantage of the KROMATIX technology is that the colors are created by interference on thin layers, and not by absorption. This way, a particularly energy-efficient coloring can be achieved. These colour coatings have been developed in Andreas Schüler’s research group at EPFL-LESO.
