Buildings account for nearly 50% of the final energy demand in Switzerland. This proportion is expected to fall by a factor of 3 in the next 20 years.
Themed “From Research into Practice” and based on concrete examples of energy efficient buildings and districts of the future, the 2nd Fachkongress “Energie+Bauen” showed to the about 80 participants from industry, administration and research how research results can be implemented in practice in order to achieve this ambitious goal.
After a networking lunch, the topics from the morning session were deepened in forums and workshops, and the participants received valuable suggestions for the transfer of research results for their own projects.
The congress was concluded with a common panel discussion on “Exporting the Energy Transition: How Can European Countries Benefit From Global RE Investment Opportunities?” organized by the 7th St.Gallen Forum for Management of Renewable Energies.
