The symposium “Energy + Building” was held for the 3rd time on 12 May 2017 in St. Gallen. The event was organized jointly by the SCCER FEEB&D and the Empa Academy.
The way in which energy services and products for buildings and neighborhoods are generated, provided and traded will change fundamentally. Innovation in the business models for energy-efficient technologies and renewable decentralized energy systems is regarded as one of the key factors for the successful implementation of the energy conversion.
Themed “The energy conversion as an opportunity for new business models in the building and energy industry”, concrete examples were presented to the participants of how research results in this area can be implemented in new products and services.
In the afternoon, the topics were deepened in forums and workshops in the fields of “implementing decentralized energy systems”, “energy and resource applications in the construction sector” and “visualization and game approaches for sustainable energy consumption”.
